Baked Chocolate Tart



This is for everyone who has been craving some chilled chocolate tart during this Quarantine.

Stay Safe Everybody! 


Introduction: 

This Sweet-Salty Dessert is super easy to make, and requires the most basic ingredients. 

The thick and smooth chocolate sauce is accompanied by the salted buttery baked biscuit crust. 


Duration:

Cooking Time : 35 minutes

Freezing Time: 2.5 hours to 12 hours


Ingredients:

Crust-

400 g Buttered Biscuits/Cookies(Any Brand) 

2 tbsp Butter 

¼ tsp Salt


Chocolate Sauce-

2 tbsp Cocoa Powder 

2 tbsp Cornstarch

¼ cup Granulated Sugar(According to taste) 

¼ tsp salt 

1 cup Milk 

25 g Dark Cooking Chocolate(Any dark-milk chocolate can be used) 

2 tbsp Cream 

½ tsp Vanilla Extract 


Method:

1. Preheat the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes. 

2. Blend the buttered biscuits thoroughly. 

3. Melt the butter and add the salt to it, mix this butter with the crushed biscuits and mix well. 

4. Set this mixture in the dish and bake it for 5-7 minutes at 180°C. 

5. To prepare the chocolate sauce, in the sauce sieve together the cocoa powder and the cornstarch powder.

6. Add Sugar and Salt to this mixture and mix. 

7. Add Milk to the dry ingredients in two halves to avoid lumps in the sauce. 

8. Once the milk is mixed well, shift the pan to a medium flame and keep on stirring the sauce to increase the thickness. 

9. As soon as the sauce starts bubbling, add in the chocolate and the cream.

10. Keep mixing it till everything is mixed together completely. 

11. Once it's mixed take it off the heat and keep mixing for another 2-3 minutes. 

12. Set aside for 5-7 minutes for the sauce to cool down, once the sauce has cooled down, pour it in the biscuit dish and set it as another layer on top of the biscuit layer. 

13. Chill this in the freezer overnight. And Enjoy! 


*Store in the freezer by covering it with clingwrap
