Oreo Chocolate Pudding

Introduction:

The Oreo chocolate pudding is a no bake chilled yum treat! With only 3 easy to make layers- Chocolate pudding, whipped cream and some crushed oreos. 



Ingredients:

2 tbsp cocoa powder

1 cup milk

2 tbsp heavy cream

2 tbsp cornflour/cornstarch

½ tsp vanilla essence(optional)

¼ cup sugar(granulated)

25 grams of chocolate

A pinch of salt

¾ cup whipped cream

1 packet of oreos


Method:

In a saucepan sieve cornstarch and cocoa powder, add sugar to the dry ingredients and Mix well.

Add Milk to the dry Ingredients, make sure to add the milk in two halves- this will not cause any lumps in the mixture.

Place the pan on medium heat and stir constantly till the mixture thickens, it will take about 7-10 minutes.

Once it starts bubbling and thickening, quickly add the heavy cream and chocolate.

When the cream has completely melted remove the pan from the heat.

Scoop it out of the saucepan and pour in the cups to form the bottom layer, and let it cool.

Meanwhile, add the chilled whipped cream to a large bowl and beat on high speed till it doubled in quantity and forms stiff peaks.

*If it does not form peaks and starts to become loose you can add a Ice bowl below the whipped cream bowl to keep it cool.

Once the whipped cream is done, take a piping bag and pipe the whipped cream in the glass or scoop it in the glasses with an ice cream scooper and form a thick layer on top of the pudding.

Add some crushed oreos on top and chill for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle some chocolate sauce and Enjoy!


Tip:

It is advisable to take semi bittered chocolate but you can use any chocolate you have. 

Instead of making single layers you can also make multiple layers of the pudding, crushed oreo and whipped cream as per your convenience.
